Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University and the Nigeria Postal Telecommunication (NIPOST) have agreed to consolidate on the existing relationship between them.
The agreement was reached when the Management of the University led by Professor Abu Kasim Adamu received in audiance, a delegation from the Telecomunication, led by the Abuja Zonal Manager, Mr. Victor Edogale.
The Vice Chancellor said continuos partnership and collaborations between the duo will undoubtedly add value to the organisations and would facilitate the quest of making the University a cosmopolitan community.
Professor Kasim who assured NIPOST of a much bigher office accommodation within the University for effective and efficient service to the University community, requested NIPOST to be proactive in delivery of it services to customers.
Earlier in his remarks, the Zonal Manager, Mr. Victor Edogale appreciated the University for the opportunity and support offered the organization.
He assured the University of prompt and efficient services, and would do so to the expectation of its consumers, adding that NIPOST had not only expanded its services but had diversified.
In their separate remarks, other Principal Officers of the University called on NIPOST to reorganize its Speed Post Unit for efficiency, stressing that since with the advent of social media there has been reduction in posting of ordinary mails, speed posts remain one of the key components of the organisation today.
In a vote of thanks, the Registrar, Alhaji Musa Ango Abdullahi expressed appreciation to the Zonal Manager and his team for the visit and prayed that it was beneficial to the two organisations.
Highlight of the visit was exchange of gifts by the two organisations.
