IBBUL COMMISSIONS MICRO-FINANCE BANK, OTHER MULTI-MILLION NAIRA PROJECTS

The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ketso has commissioned IBB University, Lapai Micro-Finance Bank alongside other multi-million naira projects in the Institution as part of activities lined up for the 2nd combined convocation ceremony.
The projects included a 3,000 sitting capacity Convocation Arena, Automated Metrological Station donated to the University by the Nigeria Metrological Agency (NIMET) and the University Clinic.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the Deputy Governor applauded the Management for embarking on laudable projects that enhance learning and research activities in the University.
He expressed delight with the feats being achieved by the University. Urging the Management to maintain the momentum and strive hard for a sustained academic excellence.
The Deputy Governor disclosed that government alone could not shoulder every responsibility and charged the Management of the Institution to continue to explore other sources of grants that could complement State Government efforts.
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr. Muhammad Kudu Santuraki while making remarks during the commissioning ceremony appreciated the unflinching support of the State Government to the University and called for more.
He assured that every effort would be made by the authority of the University towards ensuring a peaceful and condusive learning environment for students of the Institution.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor stated that projects were executed through funds realised from the internally generated revenue and spirited efforts were being intensified explore more sources of funding to the University so that more viable projects could be executed.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of achievements being recorded in the University, saying that the event was one of the fulfil moments of his administration in the Institution.
The Vice-Chancellor appealed for more synergy between the State Government and the University for enhanced socio-economic development of the State.
