The permanent site of the Institute of Continuous Education and e-learning (ICEel) of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai has received the attention of the Senatorial District, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa who assured the University Management of his support in the construction billed to commence at Paiko, along Minna road.

The Senator gave the assurance when members of the Management, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu paid him a courtesy visit in his residence in Abuja.

He expressed delight in the growth and development of the institution, stressing that he had been a keen follower of the giant strides being recorded by the University.

Senator Sani Musa noted that research and Community service, which are the Hallmark of IBB University, Lapai must be highly commended.

He also assured the University Management of his unflinching support and cooperation in realising the set objectives of establishing the Institute.

Earlier, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu informed the Senator of the University’s efforts in having the permanent site in Paiko, adding that the land had been bought, compensations paid and architectural drawings ready.

He solicited for the quick intervention of the Senator in realising the dream of greater opportunities of education, and improvement in the economic growth of the area and of the indigenes.

Professor Adamu commended the Senator for his programmes on education and youth empowerment, and urged him to sustain the efforts.

Also speaking, the Consultant to the project, Messrs Hartcore Investment Solution, Dr. Allen Hart Emeka assured the Distinguished Senator of a timely execution of the project which would also meet the specifications and dreams of the founding fathers.

In a vote of thank, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic, Professor Mohammed Aliyu Paiko expressed the University Management’s gratitude to the Senator for the audience despite his tight schedule.

He assured the Senator of the University’s continued support through its vision and mission.

Other members of the delegation are: the Registrar, Alhaji Musa Ango Abdullahi; Director, ICEel, Dr. Nuhu Aliyu Ango; Deputy Registrar, Management and Council Affairs, Malam Babangida Bala Jatau.

Also present are, Chairman of Hartcore Investment Solutions, Alhaji Kabiru Sarki Bello, and the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy Dr. Emmanuel Musa Umar who was a staff of the University before his appointment.
