IBBUL, PAIKO COMMUNITIES SHOW GRATITUDE TO ETSU LAPAI FOR HONOURING PROFESSOR MAITURARE

The Vice Chancellor, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai Professor Muhammad Nasir Maiturare, accompanied by Principal Officers, staff and students of the University, and the representatives of Paiko Community paid a thank-you visit to the Etsu Lapai on his appointment as Dan Masanin Birnin Maza, Lapai by the Etsu Lapai, His Royal Highness, Engr.Umaru Bago III.

Speaking at the ocassion on behalf of the good people of Paiko, Ambassador Zubairu Dada expressed the profound appreciation of the people of Paiko for the honour done their son, Professor Muhammad Nasir Maiturare.

He recalled the long historical cordial relationship between the people of Paiko and Lapai Emirate. This, he said has extended, not only to inter-trade, but to also inter-marriages.

Ambassador Dada prayed for the Etsu’s long reign on the throne, good health and abundant peace and prosperity for the Emirate.

In his response, the Etsu Lapai, Engr. Umaru Bago III, appreciated all those who honoured Professor Maiturare with their presence, adding that the Emirate is a keen follower of the achievements of the tenure of Professor Maiturare as the Vice Chancellor of IBB University, Lapai, hence the honour bestowed on him.

Etsu Bago observed that Professor Maiturare’s tenure in IBBUL has not only brought further developments in the University, but also the entire Emirate.

He emphasised that under the leadership of Professor Maiturare, the town and gown relationship has witnessed tremendous peace, tranquillity and progress.

It would be recalled that the Lapai Emirate Council had through the Mayaki Lapai, Alhaji Abubakar Suleyman served Professor Muhammad Nasir Maiturare the appointment letter as Dan Masanin Birnin Maza, Lapai on the 15th of March this year.
