The team from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) who have been in IBBUL for accreditation of Accounting courses concluded their assignment successfully.

Receiving the team during the exit briefing, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Muhammad Nasir Maiturare expressed delight at the way and manner members conducted themselves in the course of their assignment.

He assured the team of the University Management’s willingness to look into all the necessary observations by ICAN wit a view to rectifying them.

He also assured that the University would engage an academic ICAN member to carry out the external examination of the Accounting papers.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the team of six members, Chief Oye Akinsulire told the University Management during the exit briefing that a two-in-one accreditation exercise was carried out.

He said during the exercise, the team discovered that the University was underfunded, hence the dirt of requisite infrastructure on campus.

Chief Akinsulire disclosed that external moderation of courses are to be done by Chartered Accountants in the interest of the potential accountants.

He then promised to ensure that ICAN supports IBBUL at all time.

Highlight of the exit briefing included presentation of Souvenirs to members of the team by the Vice Chancellor.
