Participants at the induction training for non-teaching staff if Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai have been charged to practically apply what they have learnt to achieve the mission and vision of the Institution.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu gave the charge at the closing ceremony of a three day induction training workshop for non-teaching staff.
Professor Abu Kasim said they should continue to develop themselves in order to contribute their quarter in taking the University to a greater height.
He called on them to be more committed, diligent and remain focused to be able to surmount all challenges by setting goals for themselves.
In his remarks, the representative of the Director General of Administrative Staff College of Nigeria(ASCON), Malam Ahmadu Haruna described the Vice Chancellor as a role model, a father and a mentor who always have the University at heart.
Malam Haruna explained that a lot has been given to the participants, who a lot is expected from.
He appreciated the in-house facilitators for their teaching methods and techniques, thereby appealing for more collaboration in those fields.
The representative of the Director General appealed to the newly inducted staff to be good ambassadors of ASCON, as the College remains committed in delivering positive knowledge, as well as, giving effective and efficient service whenever it is called upon.
On his part the Registrar, Alhaji Musa Ango Abdullahi thanked the Director General of ASCON for accepting to be in the University Lapai to train its staff.
Alhaji Musa Ango appreciated the Vice Chancellor for attaching so much Importance to the training, stating that many staff have enjoyed the training from the Registry Department.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Malam Mohammed Santali thanked the University Management for giving the opportunity to be part of the training, stressing that what they have learnt would make them redouble their effort at work.
He also appreciates ASCON for inducting them into the hall of administration.
In a votes of thanks, the Establishment Secretary, Alhaji Idris Saleh Kusherki thanked the University Management, especially the Vice Chancellor for being passionate about staff training.
Alhaji Kusherki also urged participants to translate the knowledge acquired in their respective offices.
