LIBRARIAN
Lami Akawu (PhD) is the current University Librarian of Abubakar Gimba Library, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State where she worked and rose through the ranks to become a principal Librarian. She has woked as the head of cataloguing and classification unit, Readers’ services, and technical services divisions.
Also, she has more than twenty years working experience in academic library. Her areas of interest and research include cataloguing and classification, and Library Information Technology
As a member of Nigerian Library Association and a Certified Librarian (LCN), Dr. Lami Akawu has contributed more than 30 research papers which explores areas such as academic library resource utilization, cloud computing applications in libraries and integrated library management systems.
