REGISTRAR
Mallam Idris Saleh Kusherki is the Registrar of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, and the University’s Chief Administrative Officer. He is a seasoned university administrator with extensive experience in higher education administration, human resource management, academic administration, policy implementation, and institutional governance.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Bayero University, Kano, and a Master of Public Administration (Public Policy) from Nasarawa State University, Keffi. He also earned a Certificate in Advanced Public Administration and Management from the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).
Before joining Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, he served as a classroom teacher, part-time lecturer, and Guidance Counsellor at the Federal Government College, Minna. Since joining the University in 2005, he has served in several strategic positions including Administrative Officer, Staff Training Officer, Academic Secretary, and Establishment Secretary before his appointment as Registrar.
Throughout his career, he has served on numerous statutory committees and played key roles in academic planning, staff development, recruitment, promotion processes, university governance, accreditation exercises, and institutional development.
Mallam Kusherki is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria and a member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA).
As Registrar, he oversees the University’s administrative system, provides secretarial support to the Governing Council, Senate and other statutory bodies, and ensures the effective implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
